Once Upon a Hill, Monsoon & Movement Retreat has come to a beautiful close, leaving behind memories of movement, mindfulness, creativity, laughter, and togetherness.
It was a joy to hold space for everyone through Hatha Yoga at sunrise and Yin Yoga to relax, creating moments to move, breathe, slow down, and reconnect. Our full moon evening brought us together for a soothing Sound Bath & Yoga Nidra, and a manifestation session. It was a beautiful time to pause, reflect, and set intentions.
Creativity found its way into the retreat too, with Cheryl beautifully leading our DIY bouquet-making session, followed by a fun and colourful painting session.
And what is a retreat without wonderful food and conversations? Nehal kept everyone abundantly and lovingly fed, with delicious food and coffee that made every meal feel extra special. We enjoyed interesting conversations, board games, little outings for coffee and food, and the sweetest little cat who kept us company while happily receiving all the love poured on him.
Niki took such extreme care of everyone, making sure every little detail was looked after and everyone felt comfortable and cared for throughout.
Even the drive to and fro became part of the experience with winding roads, monsoon greenery, laughter, music, conversations, and beautiful views setting the tone for a memorable journey.
As we wrapped up, it was heartwarming to see everyone leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, lighter, and reconnected.
For me, the greatest joy was not just conducting a retreat, but watching a group of people come together, slow down, laugh, create, breathe, and simply enjoy being present.
Once upon a hill, we moved, we rested, we created, we laughed, we ate, we connected, and for a few precious days, we made space to simply be.
Until the next Once Upon a Hill…
